What data do I have access to?

You will have access to our Geocode web service which allows for the following information to be obtained.

• Postcodes
• Grid Easting (rounded to 100 metres)
• Grid Northing (rounded to 100 metres)
• Longitude
• Latitude
• PostcodeSoftware SDK to help with integration

The data is read from the PostcodeSoftware server with updates made on a quarterly basis from the Royal Mail. This ensures the most up to date information is available.

What can I use this data for?

The data can be used in a number of different ways, some examples are listed below.

	Calculate distances between postcodes Using the postcodes to provide co-ordinates for the starting and ending location, it is simple to display distance by straight line.
	Mapping The co-ordinates are ideal for locating postcodes onto visual maps
	Find my nearest store This services is ideal for websites looking to incorporate a 'Find my nearest' or any location based functionality to a website.

So how is this service charged?

Credits packs need to be purchased to access this service, for information on pricing for these packs click here. Once your account has been set up and the service has been integrated each query made to our web service will take one credit from you total.

Reminders are sent out via email to update you when credits are running low. You can then top up your credits from our website with your existing account ID.
